Through a restrained vocabulary of contrasting surfaces, familiar objects are reduced, distorted and reassembled into new compositions.
Moving between furniture, object and sculpture, the practice is driven by material contrasts, hard and soft, reflective and absorbing, industrial and tactile, and by the unexpected relationships that emerge between them.
Materials are treated as carriers of time and memory. Fragments of former interiors, existing textiles and surfaces marked by previous use are removed from their original context and given a different presence. Rather than erasing that history, we let it remain visible, allowing wear to become part of the object’s language.
Working with makers and manufacturers in Romania, we bring contemporary processes together with traditional craftsmanship. Each piece is conceived with longevity in mind, through considered material choices, precise construction and a reduced approach to form.
